
KAYE A. CARTWRIGHT, 72, a long-time resident of Leo, passed away on Monday, April 25, 2011. Born Nov. 29, 1938, in Fort Wayne, she was a daughter of the late Tilman and Clara (Gilliom) Fleuc kiger. She graduated from Berne-French High School in 1956. On July 26, 1965, she married.Thomas Cartwright. She retired in 1995 from Grabill Bank after 25 years , having served in a variety of capacities such as teller and new accounts. She always enjoyed interacting with her customers. She was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Grabill. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and spending recent winter months in Frostproof, Fla. She loved to read, go to movies with friends, shop (especially for shoes and purses), and spend time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her devoted husband, Tom; children, Lisa Ruth (Randy) Baker of Westbrook, Minn., Lisa Anne (Mark) King of Fort Wayne, David (Debra) Cartwright of Wheaton, Ill., and Cheryl (Randy) Kincaid of Fort Wayne; and grandchildren, Danielle, Tanner, Chase, Natalie, Chelsea, Aaron, Jenna, Hanna, and Cody; brother, Roger (Mary) Flueckiger of Monroe, Ind.; sister-in-law, Nancy Fleuckiger of Santa Barbara, Calif.; brother-in-law, Donald (Beth) Cartwright of Angola; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Wallace Flueckiger "She will be dearly missed by her many neighbors and friends for whom she was quite fond." Funeral service is 11 a.m. Friday, April 29, 2011, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 12640 St. Joe Road, Grabill, with calling one hour prior. The Rev. Rodney Schmeltz officiating. JANET E. MARINO, 68, of Leo, passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2011, at her residence. Born in Fort Wayne, she retired from L.S. Ayres and attended Leo United Methodist Church. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother and most of all grandmother. Surviving are husband of 44 years, James Marino Sr. of Leo; sons, Jamey (Lara) Marino of Leo and Todd (Gregory Pospisil) White of Palm Springs, Calif.; brother, Glenn (Sharon) Vonderau of Fort Wayne; and grandson, James Marino III. She was preceded in death by her sister, Joyce Parker. Service is 10:30 a.m. Friday at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road, with calling one hour prior to service. GARY F. GREGORY, 57, died Thursday (March 10, 2011) at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne. He was born on June 29, 1953 in New Castle, Ky. to the late Leslie and Mary Alice (Thompson) Gregory. He married his best friend, Sherill Beck on Feb. 11, 1989 in Carrollton, Ky. He worked as a Deputy Sheriff for Carroll County, Kentucky Police Department for 13 years. In 1989, he went to work at Superior Essex and the Cedar Creek Golf Course. He was a member of the American Legion Post 409 in Leo-Cedarville. He held all offices at Post 409 for SAL, was 4th District Commander for SAL, and SAL State Detachment Commander in 2008 and 2009. He enjoyed golf and fishing. He is survived by his wife, Sherrill Gregory of Leo-Cedarville; son, Michael Gregory of Bethlehem, Ky.; stepsons, Todd (Amy) Conn of Fort Wayne, Lee (Jenny) Conn of Fort Wayne, Brian (Jill) Conn of Auburn and Jason Conn of Leo-Cedarville; stepdaughter Jody (Mark) Benzinger of Hoagland; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister-in-law, Carol Reasoner of Auburn; brother-in-law, Claren (Sue) Beck of Fort Wayne; niece, Kim Reasoner of Fort Wayne; nephew, Mike Reasoner of Fort Wayne; many great nieces and nephews; his dog, Gabby, who was his princess.
